Take the pressure off holiday maths with the Maths by James Flexible Easter Club. I provide expert 1-on-1 support for Primary, 11+, KS3, and GCSE/iGCSE students in a completely safe, private space. There are no strict appointments to manage - simply drop in between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to get exactly the help they need.
Here is exactly what's included:
10:00am to 3:00pm flexible drop-in: Join when it works for you!
Dates: April 6th - 7th - 2026
Independent focus: Students work at their own pace on resources I hand-pick for them. (Students get their own private independent space to practice and make mistakes without any judgements)
On-demand backup: When they get stuck, I jump into a private 1-on-1 space with a digital whiteboard via chat or video call - whatever suits them best.
Guaranteed 1-2-1 support: I actively monitor the room and use an appointment system during busy spikes so every single child gets dedicated time.
Fully online, fully flexible*, fully focused on your child.
Limited Easter spaces available for Primary to GCSE Higher students.
Right after you book, I’ll reach out to grab a few quick details about your child’s current maths level and goals. This ensures I can prepare the exact right materials beforehand so we hit the ground running with maximum efficiency on the day.
Drop in via the private Pencil Spaces link anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. I will greet your child, discuss their goals for the day, and direct them to targeted maths resources.
Your child tackles the material at their own pace. They have the quiet time and breathing room to build their skills and try things on their own without feeling watched or rushed.
Stuck on a problem? Your child can send me a private message anytime. But I don't just wait for them to ask! I proactively check in on every student throughout the session to review their work and offer personalized 1-on-1 coaching. If I’m currently helping someone else, I’ll assign them a quick mini-appointment and direct them to new resources so their learning never stops.
Recently, the demand for my one-on-one math support has been incredible. While I am deeply grateful to be able to help so many students, the reality is that my traditional schedule is reaching its limit. But my core belief has always been simple: no one should be left behind. I wanted to find a way to fit everyone in, ensuring every student gets the high-quality, individualized support they deserve without compromising on the quality of my teaching.
Every student deserves individualised support in an environment where they feel completely safe. Here, they have their own private online space. There are no rigid start times and no peering eyes. They get the breathing room to do the work, make mistakes, and ask questions with total confidence. Asking the questions they need backed up by support for parents to help give students the tools for Maths success.
A simple three-step flow that gives your child structure, independence, and instant expert backup when they need it.
Absolutely. Whether your child is just laying the foundations in Primary school or tackling complex GCSE Higher Level equations, this private club is built for them. It’s perfect for:
You shouldn't have to pay a premium for all-day peace of mind. Get full, flexible access to individualized support without the high price tag of all-day 1-on-1 tutoring.

Parents trust Maths by James to provide a calm, expert-led space where children can ask questions freely and grow in confidence.

Still wondering if the Easter Club is a good fit? Here are answers to the most common questions from parents.
Not at all! You can log in at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., or whenever fits your day. The space is open until 3:00 p.m., so your child can join when it works best for your family. To get seen you must enter 30 minutes before the end of the sessions for the day.
No. All communication with me is completely private, ensuring a safe, embarrassment-free space to learn. Your child can ask anything without worrying about what others might think.
This is our Easter Club, but keep an eye out—we will be replicating this flexible model for Summer, After-School, and Homeschool clubs very soon!
For the best experience, students should ideally use a computer with a mouse, or a tablet. We host the club on a fantastic, interactive online platform called Pencil Spaces. A working microphone and camera are also required so we can communicate effectively when they need 1-on-1 help.
Because my core belief is that no one should be left behind, support is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. If I am helping someone else, I will direct your child to specific, independent resources so their learning never stops. During times of high demand, I will assign your child a specific "mini-appointment" slot within the daily session. It is the student's responsibility to be ready at that time so we can maximize their 1-on-1 support!
Yes. The club closes at 3:00 p.m. To ensure I have enough time to properly sit down and help your child, they must enter the space and flag that they need support at least 30 minutes before the end of the session (by 2:30 p.m. at the latest), unless we have made a prior appointment.
Due to the high demand for this flexible support and our limited capacity, all bookings are strictly non-refundable. However, if you need to make a change, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to the 10:00 a.m. start time to discuss any potential accommodations.
Maths by James: Flexible Online Club Terms & Conditions
To ensure that the "Maths by James" flexible club remains a safe, productive, and supportive environment for every student, we ask that all participants and parents agree to the following house rules:
1. Code of Conduct & Respect
We operate a strict policy of mutual respect. Students must be respectful at all times towards the tutor and the learning environment.
Focus on Learning: To ensure everyone gets the most out of their time, all conversations and messages must remain strictly focused on Maths. Off-topic discussions or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, ensuring our "no one left behind" policy works and everyone feels completely safe to learn.
2. Equipment & Technical Responsibility
Sourcing and maintaining working technology is entirely the responsibility of the participant.
Students are required to have a working device (ideally a computer with a mouse, or a tablet), alongside a functioning microphone and camera.
All sessions are hosted on Pencil Spaces, a secure, interactive whiteboard platform perfectly suited for math tutoring. Please ensure your setup is ready before joining.
3. Getting Support & The Queueing System
1-on-1 help is provided strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
While waiting for individualized support, students will be directed to targeted independent resources so their learning never stops.
During periods of high demand, the tutor may issue specific "mini-appointment" times within the session window. It is the student's responsibility to be present and responsive at their allocated time.
Generic Cut-off Time: To guarantee being seen, students must enter the workspace and request support no later than 30 minutes prior to the session ending (for example, by 2:30 p.m. for an Easter session that closes at 3:00 p.m.). Requests made after this cut-off cannot be guaranteed unless a specific appointment was previously arranged.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Due to high demand and our limited capacity to ensure every student gets the help they need, all payments are strictly non-refundable.
If a student cannot attend their booked day, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required prior to the start time to discuss any potential accommodations or date changes. Changes without 24 hours' notice will not be accommodated.
5. Safeguarding & Privacy
As a Fully DBS Checked and Qualified Tutor Member, your child's safety is my top priority. All 1-on-1 support messages, questions, and interactions remain strictly private between the student and the tutor.
Duty of Care: Please note that while our math discussions are private, I hold a strict legal and ethical duty of care. If a student discloses any information that raises a safeguarding or welfare concern, I am legally obligated to report it to the appropriate authorities or parents/guardians to ensure the student's safety.
Secure their Easter Club place now and give them a calm, expert-led space to grow in confidence.
